Chris Holme
Chris is Principal Engineer for the Estates and Facilities Division of the Department of Health. He joined the Engineering team of “NHS Estates” in Leeds over five years ago having moved across from his role as a strategic advisor in the northern division of England.
Prior to that, he has been a Director of Estates and Facilities in Carlisle and going further back, a District Engineer, Project Director and Site Engineer. A total NHS service of over 27 years.
In his Principal Engineer role for the Department of Health he manages the engineering team on a day to day basis and takes a lead on emergency preparedness, technical guidance, electrical matters including resilience, safety and more recently technical support for the DH energy/carbon capital fund.
He is significantly involved with the HTM “Review” programme and implementing awareness of recent IEE wiring regulation changes and other legislation from both Europe and the UK.
Chris has always held an interest in energy and the development of performance standards and in particular their application to the healthcare sector environment.
