Adrian Swain
Architect, Studio Director (Liverpool)
Adrian has almost 30 years’ of architectural experience, with the latter 15 years specialising in the education sector. He leads our Liverpool office in its school works, playing a key role in maintaining Nightingale Associates’ strong profile in the sector.
He has worked continuously and extensively with the Royal School for the Blind in Liverpool, helping to develop many specialist units for children with profound learning difficulties, and is also part of the Nightingale Associates team developing exemplar design solutions for primary schools. In addition, Adrian has also worked extensively within the conservation field, including a recent award-winning crypt for Lutyen’s famous Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. As a result of his experience, Adrian is a listed member on the register of Architects Accredited in Building Conservation.
