With over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare and education sectors Richard has worked on numerous projects from PFI hospitals to primary school classrooms.
Throughout his time at Nightingale Associates, Richard has extensively researched and developed ‘sense sensitive design’, a concept that can be applied to both healthcare and education environments to aid patient recovery and optimise school pupils’ learning potential through engaging all the human senses. Richard’s ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking approach has seen him develop numerous unique products and design concepts for Nightingale Associates, including the hPod, ‘cruciform’ wards, ‘trglyph’ bed clusters and ‘emotional mapping’, and has ensured his perpetual popularity as a speaker at numerous key industry events.
