In July 2004, Matt opened Nightingale’s first international office in Cape Town, South Africa, and opened Nightingale Associates’ new subsidiary, NA(SA), in September 2008, where he is now Principal, looking after a team of over 30 staff working on local SA and UK projects.
Some of Matt’s most significant projects include the delivery of a new generation of Medical Schools for the University of Plymouth & Exeter University in the South West of England; the development of one of the first diagnostic and treatment centres in the UK using the NHS’s Procure 21’ initiative and the Mental Health Unit component of the £300 million Peterborough Hospital PPP development. Matt has an excellent understanding of the management, procurement; design and project delivery of medium and large scale, complex buildings and he has a broad range of experience of a wide range of building types.
