Eagle Bridge Health &
Well Being Centre, Crewe
19 November 2007
This brand new Primary Care centre is located in the heart of Crewe’s regeneration area. Purpose built, the 22 GP facility provides a one-stop health centre for a local community of 36,000.
Three small town centre practices have been relocated into the £10m state-of-the-art building, creating the opportunity to improve patient care and broaden services to include; dental, audiology, podiatry, physiotherapy, phlebotomy, speech and language provision.
Based around 3 floors, the design of the centre permits the individual practices to run independently whilst exploiting shared resources such as a main reception, cafeteria and on-site pharmacy, all of which add value to the patient experience.
The centre, named after 4 cast iron eagles which adorned a local railway bridge, is managed by 150 staff and acts as an essential component to the town’s rejuvenation strategy.
Procured on a design and build basis outside of the Government’s LIFT initiative, Nightingale Associates delivered this high quality facility in collaboration with Bowmer and Kirkland contractors and LSP Developments.
