First two projects to be procured
through the new Designed for Life,
All Wales Framework

Along with our Supply Chain Partner, contractor HBG, Nightingale Associates have been appointed for the first two healthcare projects to be procured and delivered through the All Wales Framework: Designed for Life.
The projects, commissioned by the Gwent healthcare NHS Trust are for two new Local General Hospitals at Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent.
The £108m (capital cost) hospital for Caerphilly includes a minor injuries unit, a diagnostic and treatment centre, children's clinic, midwifery led unit, integrated care centre and mental health unit. The hospital will be commissioned and operational by the end of 2010.
The £32m (capital cost) hospital for Blaenau Gwent includes a minor injuries unit, diagnostics, outpatients, comprehensive local therapy services, inpatient facilities for rehabilitation and palliative care, and an integrated adult mental health inpatient and day care unit. The hospital will be commissioned and operational by February 2010.
