Exeter office opened
11 June 2004
Architects Nightingale Associates have opened a new office in Exeter. The company now operates from six offices in the UK, with another shortly to be launched in South Africa.
Nightingale's Exeter operation is headed by director Milorad Vucinic. The team, which is currently recruiting, is expected to expand from two to six-plus within six months, building up to an eventual capacity of 20 - 30 staff. The Exeter office is a logical move for the company, which has recently designed three major new medical teaching facilities in the south west. The Peninsula Medical Schools - in Plymouth, Truro and Exeter - are due to be completed this summer in readiness for the 2004/5 academic year.
Milorad Vucinic (pictured above), who was the director responsible for the design of the Plymouth Medical School, intends to build on the success of these projects and expand the firm's client base in the region. The new office will also be supervising the construction of a new cardiac unit at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, which has been designed by the Brighton office.
“This expansion is part of the planned geographical spread of Nightingale Associates, where we aim to provide a wider and enhanced service to clients. We have had a successful year so far, with one of our schemes, at King's College Hospital, London, judged best designed Public Private Finance project across all sectors in the UK.”
