Further success in Coventry notched up

06 October 2003

Architects Nightingale Associates, who are currently designing the £330m Coventry New Hospitals project, have scored another success in the city.

The practice is part of The GB Consortium (Galliford Try and British Health Enterprises) which has been selected as preferred bidder on the Coventry LIFT Project (Local Improvement Finance Trust).

The project will deliver a number of new primary care facilities in the city. The design team is a collaboration of architects: Nightingale Associates, Sonnemann Toon and Robothams, together with engineers Arup and quantity surveyors Carl Dean Associates.

The first wave of four schemes includes a new GP Surgery in Keresley, a new health campus at Longford and another at Hillfields, plus the first phase of a new city centre development. The scheme was won in competition with two other consortia and continues the renewal of healthcare facilities in Coventry. Building work is to commence in 2004.
