New acute hospital includes accident and emergency, a critical care centre, operating theatres, diagnostic imaging, outpatients and new wards.
The design features a dramatic and highly visible main entrance, and a large central atrium running the entire length of the new building, providing access to all major departments. It contains a cafe, reception, retail and a multi-faith centre making it a focal point for staff, visitors and ambulant patients.
