The design of the Treatment Centre aims to produce building that creates a healing environment for patients and a working environment for staff that is suitable for providing healthcare in the 21st Century.
The plan has been developed to encourage new working practices and blur the traditional departmental / working boundaries. The heart of this building is a double-height main waiting area, which the clinical specialities wrap around on two floors. These include generic outpatient clinics, a specialist women's area, dedicated ultrasound, an endoscopy suite and day theatres.
